COLUMBARIUMS
Our columbariums, or sometimes more commonly known as niche walls, are made of a dark brown grade A select Dakota Mahogany granite. The walls and roof are made of 4 inch thick granite, while the base is made of 6 inch thick granite for durability and strength. Each piece is pinned together with ¾ inch stainless steel pins and locked together with extra strength stone epoxies. The interior is made of high tensile concrete, moulded to a smooth finish and sprayed with plastic coating to provide a smooth uniform look. This coating also prevents the concrete from absorbing moisture.
Each niche has its own individual cover, so it can be opened one at a time for individual family privacy. All of our columbariums are built indoors to ensure the epoxies dry slowly to insure an extremely strong unit. Columbariums that are built on a location may have a chance of getting moisture in-between the joints, which causes a weak structure.
We make them in many different sizes and shapes to suit the particular cemetery they will be placed in.
